In this post I explain why I switched from Todoist+Evernote to only using Evernote, and why I later decided to go back to my trusted system. However, last year following a period of illness I’ve reconsidered the tools I use.   • Type ' todo:false' in the search bar to quickly find all notes with unchecked boxes.
  • You can create a checkbox while typing by typing two brackets followed by a space:(  ), or a pre-checked box by adding an x: ( ).
  • Hit enter to quickly add another checkbox to your list.
  • You can turn a number of existing items into a checklist by simply highlighting the list, then selecting the checkbox button.

  • With Evernote you can place checkboxes and checklists in your notes to keep track of action items.Ĭhecklists and checkboxes allow you to create lists or items that can be marked as complete.
